FAQS

Welcome to our ever changing page that tries to answer the most frequently asked questions.

1. What's your history?
We started out as a small expeditor before becoming a full fledged asset-based trucking company.  As our services have grown, however, it become clear that our capacity to serve our customers is limited by the number of trucks at our disposal.  That's why we decided to convert into a non-asset based brokerage company.  While maintaining the same high standards we kept as a trucking operation, we can serve our customer needs around the country.
2. What kind of trailers do you service.
Generally dry vans, reefers and flabbeds.
3. What areas do you service?
Generally all lower 48 states of the US.
4. Do you only do backhauls?
We don't use that term.  As a former carrier, we understand that the operating cost of moving trucks is the same whatever the direction.  We try to get the best rates no matter the direction, and pay our carriers accordingly.
5. What is your payment policy?
The standard contract calls for 30 days from receipt of signed clean Bill of Lading.  If you prefer faster, often a week, please indicate 'Quick Pay" preference on your invoice.  There is a small fee for the service.
6.  Do you offer advance pay?
Only rarely if it helps a carrier in distress. We believe a carrier should be responsible for their upfront costs. We'll gladly pay off the bill quicker if you prefer the 'Quick Pay' option.
7. As a shipper, what protection do you offer my freight?
We investigate all carriers that we contract for the following:
a) ensure their safety rating with the DOT is satisfactory
b) we ensure that carrier carries at least $1 million in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance.  If your freight requires higher limits please let us know.
c) have carriers list us as a certificate holder on their insurance
d) have carriers sign a contract that specifies terms of doing business together, including holding shipper harmless after accidents or damage to freight out of their neglect

8. Is expedited shipping a big part of your operation?
As a 3PL provider, our job is to advise our shippers on the best possible method of shipping their goods not only to save costs but to be effective. At times, expedited or airfreight shipping is the only way to quickly get a product to the customer when time is of essence.
